You’re moving up when it comes to the career ladder, and it couldn’t be more timely. Keep in mind, however, that “moving up” doesn’t necessarily mean a corner office and a raise (although those things aren’t out of the question). It could also mean more time off, a change to a different office, fewer working hours, or being able to work from home, any of which add up to a much better quality of life. In the end, that’s what truly counts.

Keep your feet on the ground and your head (mostly) out of the clouds. It’s not a good time to get carried away in fantasyland. Taking care of some mundane business frees you up for more interesting stuff later.

Your partner has an idea. To you, it’s completely ridiculous, but don’t let on your true feelings. Unless it’s illegal or potentially harmful, offer your full support. It might turn out better than you expect.

This is not the day to be spending alone. You can connect with your friends now. In fact, you can connect with people you don’t even know yet. The masses are just another challenge. Get out there and press the flesh.
