Be on the lookout for people who are on the edge, emotionally speaking. You need to identify them and understand that whatever they say or do right now is controlled by irrational thinking, not unkindness. If they start to overreact to something you say, don’t give it a second thought. Their knee-jerk reactions aren’t designed to hurt you, though it could be that they’re trying to make you doubt yourself. Don’t let them.

You have the strength and willingness to do what’s necessary even if your choices are hard. Allow yourself the time you need to make your choices, then feel good knowing you did the right thing.

You can do all the right things for all the wrong reasons, and sometimes you can do the wrong things for the right reasons. In a relationship, gray areas are more common than you think. Relax and let it happen.

Finding your direction is the easy part. Starting on the journey is much, much harder. Once you take out your compass it’s time to start roping in possible leaders.
