Everyone shows their affection in a different way, so try not to have specific expectations. If you’re going on a date, keep an open mind and don’t read more into their words than are really there. And if a friend isn’t doing or saying the things that you would do or say, so what? They aren’t you, and aren’t you glad? Accept the way the people you care about communicate with you, and you will soon understand how much you really mean to them.

Hanging out solo doesn’t mean you’ve given up on the human race. Sometimes it’s good for the soul to spend time alone to work on projects you’ve been meaning to finish without social events distracting you from the goal line.

You can’t know everything about each other, and in your saner moments you realize you don’t want to. At moments like these, figuring out the puzzle is part of the pleasure of the relationship.
