Skip the fancy schmancy dinner, and ask your crush to lunch. You can make the date as intimate or casual as you want. Go to a fun diner or check out an exotic restaurant for a change of pace.

Be realistic. You’re not the only person in your partner’s romantic past. After all, you’ve had a few romances, too, haven’t you? So they’re still friends with some of their exes. That’s actually a pro, not a con.
