Even if you don’t totally understand all of your deep feelings, you shouldn’t hide them, especially from the person who is causing them. This is the time to let the sun shine brightly on you, to wear your heart on your sleeve and let everyone see it. Whether you’re angry, nervous, excited, or all crushed out, hiding that fact will only create a much bigger mess for you to deal with. Just let it all hang out and deal with the consequences, whatever they may be.

A former flame might call you up just to see how you’re doing. The only problem is that this is the same person who sent you into a tailspin. If you’re wary of being burned again, tell them thanks, but no thanks.

Look for local adventures to keep you two connected. See a band, take in some theater, or even watch a new movie to feel joined at the hip.

You either have firm plans or the government has them for you. If you think it’s a good time for a personal day, you’d better see things from a more mature perspective, and fast. Stick to nailing the numbers.
