Goals aren’t always meant to be met. Sometimes just picking a mountain to climb and doing your best to summit is all that matters. Whether or not you get to the top, it would be nice, but it wouldn’t do much more than give you a better view until you have to come back down to earth to be with everyone else. So don’t beat yourself up if you don’t get that job or second date or lose that last pound. Just be proud of yourself for how far you did make it.

True love is often complex and challenging before you see the real rewards. That’s why patience is so important. Don’t fall for the intensity routine. Be wary of romantics who love you and then leave when it gets too serious.

Even though you’re feeling impatient with your partner, try to slow down and take things at the pace they prefer. Things will go much more smoothly for both of you.

It might be dishonest to say ‘It’s all good,’ but you have to admit there’s plenty to be thankful for. Focus on the basics and you’ll be amazed at how much progress you’ve made in the last year. But don’t give yourself a pat on the back — thank the universe.
