You could meet someone whose narrow-mindedness is shocking to you. But before you try to educate them with your modern ideas and beliefs, hold off. First, they might not be very happy to hear that you don’t agree with them. And second, they really can’t be blamed for living a life so unexposed to diversity. Share your open-mindedness and unique perspective with them in a caring, kind way. That way they won’t feel threatened and go on the defensive.

Somebody has a love-related opinion or bit of advice that they just have to tell you all about, probably to the point of repeating themselves. Just thank them and wait until it’s all over.
