Someone is back on the scene, and they might have a hard time adjusting to the fact that you have much more influence than you did when they first worked with you. This could create a power struggle, but only if they start first. You need to remember your position and have confidence in your leadership. They’re the one who has to get used to a new situation, not you. So just keep doing what you’ve been doing and treat them like you’d treat anyone else.

Find a way to channel your extra energy and you’ll be amazed by what you can do. Now is a great time to start training for that race you want to run. Finding an attractive running partner would be a nice bonus.

You need to be sure you’re as clear as you can be with your partner, because most likely they aren’t totally sure about your level of commitment. Tell them things are only getting better!

Even the smallest misunderstanding can make others see you in a different light. But how can you explain yourself if you don’t even know what the snafu is in the first place? Don’t expect the answer to be clear.
