Your self-oriented side needs to get in better balance with your more selfless side. Have you been helping too many people for too long and neglecting your own needs? The biggest problem with giving all the time is that pretty soon you have nothing left. Putting other people first is getting less and less realistic. You have to start conserving your energy for your own needs. Start saying no a little bit more often. It gets easier and easier each time you do it.

Don’t waste all this good energy in front of the TV. Get out there and mingle. Plan a quick getaway with friends, host a fun ppker game, or just hang out with your favorite people.

You might be a bit overwhelmed, but most likely your partner is just fine with the schedule. See if you can suggest a compromise, but don’t expect results until a few days have passed.

No one is knocking on your door and offering financial help. You need to take the initiative if you want to get out of the mess you’re in. Drum up some enthusiasm for the task, then get out there and take action.
