You need to brace yourself even if you know exactly what the situation requires. Someone’s in charge here and, unfortunately, that someone isn’t you (even though you’d do a stellar job). Try to be patient while the supervisors work out the kinks with the plan, as frustrating as it may be. If you can suggest an alternative in a diplomatic matter, by all means do so. Don’t just barrel ahead and try to force people to go along with your plan, no matter how good you think it is.

You’re not at your most passionate right now, but you can’t always be on fire, of course. Moreover, for now, you can be objective about matters of the heart – your own and others’.

Has your darling fallen into the unfortunate habit of using you as a free therapist? Of course you want to hear their problems, but there comes a point when certain boundaries have to be respected.

There’s no shame in changing tack. When you can see that something just isn’t working, then there’s no point in throwing good money after bad. Reassess your strategy before you throw a fortune into the sinkhole.
