In theory, it should not matter what other people think of you. But in practice, you may have to take on a certain role today in order to impress one or two important people. You need them on your side in order to accomplish what you need to accomplish. This is not a question of compromising who you are — you should never do that. But you might need to temper your passion with a veneer of etiquette and tact. Play along to get along just this once.

You’re not dealing with an “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” situation, but you should think before speaking, whether it’s a friend asking for advice or a quick message to a romantic prospect.

Your partner says or does something that inspires you. Bring out an old project that you stored away. Take some time to plan this new method of attack and you’ll really put this new insight to work.

Stick with current projects. Friends and family will soon be sucking up all your time and attention. Until then, put as much of both into straightening out your finances.
