A friend in need may be a friend indeed, but this can also mean they’re a pain in the behind. While it may be slightly excruciating, you’ll need to exercise your patience when it comes to platonic relationships now. If they need to vent about work or their partner or the price of gas (and vent and vent) it’s your duty to make sympathetic noises, at least for a certain amount of time.

Don’t take it personally when things aren’t working out on a first date. The whole point of this initial meeting is to determine if there’s a spark between two people. If there is, great. If not, move on.

Today is a good day to check in with your respective families, either in person or by calling them. Ask them how they are and practice your listening skills.
